This year the students of 2nd grade started to play Chess in English! Until now we have been reviewing the pieces that we knew from 1st grade and learning the names in English. Those are: pawn, rook, bishop, knight, queen and king. Now that we've got the hang of it we can play with all the pieces.
Furthermore, we've learned that the pieces have value, so when we capture a piece from the other team we get points. Based on that we can decide who wins. We're havings lots of fun!
It’s time to act out a story, at last!
The children of second grade enjoy practicing and acting out a story called “Where is Kitty?”.
We looked for a cat all over the house. First, we searched in the
living room, but we found a hat. Then, we looked for the cat in the bathroom, but we found a doll. Later, we looked for her in the bedroom, but there was only a skipping rope.
Finally, we found Kitty in the dining room. She was under the table, on Oscar’s toy car.
We loved it so much!
Els nens i nenes de segon hem treballat a Arts&Crafts el collage de la fruita que més ens agrada. El collage és una tècnica que consisteix a realitzar un dibuix superposant en trossets ben petits diferents materials (papers de colors, diaris, paper de seda o cel·lofana, revistes...) i enganxats amb cola donant forma a un objecte.Per acabar d'arrodonir la nostra feina, hem donat un toc de color amb pintura aconseguint així més cos i textura a les nostres fruites.
Ens han quedat uns collage molt bonics i vistosos!
Els nens i nenes de segon aquesta setmana hem
iniciat un nou projecte on treballarem un munt de coses sobre els transports.
Vam començar fent una rutina de pensament anomenada“ Chalk Talk” sobre diferents vehicles. Les mestres van
distribuir per l’aula diferents fulls on només hi havia la imatge d’un vehicle
(un avió, un cotxe, un globus aerostàtic, un vaixell, un tren i una
bicicleta). Seguidament nosaltres, de forma individual, escrivíem amb retoladors de diferents
colors el que sabíem de cadascun,
llegint el que han escrit els altres companys per no repetir. Finalment es va posar en comú.
Les mestres ens van felicitar perquè ho havíem
fet força bé!
Estem molt engrescats amb aquest nou projecte!
